- Bill To: The customer’s name and billing address.
- Service Address: The location where electricity service is provided and usage measured.
- ESI ID: The Electric Service Identifier (ESI) ID — pronounced “easy ID” — is a number assigned to your location by the utility company.
- Bill Date: The date the bill was generated.
- Bill Period / Service Period: The billing period for this bill.
- Current Charges: The amount owed for the electricity consumed during the billing period, including taxes, fees and adjustments.
- Amount Due: The total amount owed.
- Due Date: The deadline for paying the full amount owed.
- kWh Usage: The amount of electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) used during the billing period. This is calculated by subtracting the prior month's meter reading from the current month's meter reading.
- Energy Charge (X kWh @ $0.XX Per kWh): This charge is based on the electric energy (kWh) used during the billing period. The Energy Charge is calculated by multiplying the amount of electricity (kWh) consumed by the rate in cents per kilowatt-hour ($0.XX per kWh).
- A kilowatt (kW) is the standard unit for measuring electricity demand, equal to 1,000 watts; and
- A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is the standard unit for measuring electricity consumption, equal to 1,000 watt-hours.
- TDU Delivery Charges: The total amounts assessed by your Transmission Distribution Utility (“TDU”) for the delivery of electricity to your home over poles, wires and other TDU facilities.
- Sales & Gross Receipt Taxes - Pass Through Tax: Charges for taxes and fees, including Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Assessment, Sales Tax and Miscellaneous Gross Receipts Tax Reimbursement.
- Total Amount Due: The total sum owed.
